Gulal
"What do you cry, O ye fruit merchants? Citron, pomegranate, and plum." — Sarojini Naidu
Details
A field of fine gold sequins scatters across a rich maroon ground, dense in some areas and sparse in others, like colored powder mid-throw.
Gulal takes its name from the colored powder used at Holi — the sequin placement deliberately uneven, echoing the way powder scatters rather than settles in a grid.
